I’m late, I’m late, I know. I would usually have posted by now, but I’ve been down to the wire finishing this one.
Despite interuptions, I’ve finally finished the section that I’ve been working on for what feels like an age!
Here’s where I was last time..
Here’s where I am now.
I have no gaps! I found myself at the start of the week with 20 little gaps to close up, but it’s taken me the week to finish them. Of course we had 20 different colours. I was trying to use the remaining thread to fill in other gaps, but I still wasn’t finished this morning, so now have lots of abandoned needles hanging from my thread book.
Nevermind. It’s done!
I do hate confetti stitches, but it was nice to fill them up completely. Like filling in the last section of a puzzle. I’ve said it before, but they really do make the difference when looking at the piece as a whole. It’s spurring me on for the rest.
Now this is over, I’ll be concentrating on this section, which is more ribbon.
Lots of it is done already luckily, so it shouldn’t take me that long. Famous last words!
Time for the regular urge to go seek out the other projects in this SAL. Time to see how the masters do it.
Avis, Claire, Gun, Carole, LucyAnn, Kate, Jess, Sue, Constanze,
Debbierose, Christina, Kathy, Margaret, Cindy, Helen,
Linda, Heidi, Jackie, Sunny, Hayley, Tony, Megan, Catherine,
We’ll be into September for the next Update! Crumbs. See you on the 9th!
Much love xx
Oh hurrah for you! It does look splendid all filled in. Don’t forget to reward yourself with a fun section once you finish this ribbon bit! You have definitely earned it!
